The way we work and move around cities has been significantly altered by COVID, and it’s likely to be that way for a while, but there are different schools of thought on how permanent some of these changes might be.
To better understand the community’s thinking, we commissioned an independent survey of 4500 people in Australia and North America to get a snapshot of what people think day-to-day will be like after the pandemic risk has passed.
The data tells us that:
- 86% of respondents expect to do most of their work back in their workplace after the pandemic risk as passed
- Safety is now the number one consideration for transport mode choice, as opposed to convenience.
- 48% of respondents are shopping online more, with half of these saying they’ll continue to do so
- 42% of respondents expect life will return to normal within 12 months
