In a joint initiative with the Brisbane City Council, we’re enhancing koala habitats in our local communities by planting more than 128,000 trees across Brisbane, including along the Gateway and Logan motorways.

Our work will enhance 146 hectares of bushland across South East Queensland – an area the size of 81 Gabba Stadiums.

Senior Sustainability Advisor Luke Mulder said the initiative was an important part of Transurban’s commitment to enhancing the natural environment along our motorways.

“We’re incredibly excited about this joint initiative with Brisbane City Council, which will have a meaningful impact on protecting and enhancing the habitat of koalas in our local communities” Mr Mulder said.

“The project forms part of Transurban’s sustainability strategy to minimise our environmental impact”.
