In the interests of the health and safety of the public, our employees and our volunteers, it is with heavy hearts that we confirm the Herald Sun/Transurban Run for the Kids on Sunday March 29 will be cancelled this year.
We understand the decision to cancel the event will be a huge disappointment to everyone who has registered, and especially to the participants who are running or walking in support of a family member or friend who has been touched by the Royal Children’s Hospital’s lifesaving work.
Unfortunately, the public health risks of proceeding with the event are too high.
In its 15th year, Run for the Kids is the largest event to contribute to the Good Friday Appeal, which raises funds to support Melbourne’s Royal Children’s Hospital and we encourage people to come together and continue to support this extremely worthy cause, as we will.
Registered participants will be provided more information at runforthekids.com.au next week.
