TCS Sydney Marathon presented by ASICS: A major global event
The 2025 TCS Sydney Marathon presented by ASICS has grown into a world-class marathon, earning its place as an Abbott World Major Marathon. As one of the most iconic running events in the world, it attracts athletes, elite runners, and fitness enthusiasts from all corners of the globe. With breathtaking views of Sydney's stunning landmarks — from the Sydney Opera House to the Sydney Harbour Bridge — the marathon offers an unparalleled race experience, setting the stage for both personal bests and unforgettable memories.
The race is the largest marathon in Australia. In 2025, the event welcomed a record-breaking 35,000 marathoners from over 120 countries in its first year as a Major.
Since its inception, the event has raised over $36.2 million dollars for charitable organisations and set a new event record of $8.8 million raised in 2025.

Our role as the Official Roads Partner
As the Official Roads Partner, we are proud to play a key role in the event’s success by ensuring that people are able move around the city safely as well as ensuring motorists are minimally impacted on event day. We’ll be #KeepingSydneyMoving by providing free tolls on the Cross City Tunnel, from 5am to 4.30pm AEST on race day, Sunday 30 August 2026.
