Skills and experience 

Sarah is an experienced non-executive director and former energy executive with more than 30 years of global experience in the upstream oil and gas industry, in various technical, research, operational and leadership roles, in Australia, North America, United Kingdom, Europe and Asia. She also has a decade of experience in investment management in North America and Australia, focusing on energy and natural resources and associated sectors worldwide.

Sarah is currently Chair of Viva Energy Group Limited (since March 2026 and a non-executive Director since 2018), and Non-executive Director Aurizon Holdings Limited (since 2019) and Calix Limited (since 2024). She is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Science and Engineering (ATSE) and former Chair of the ATSE Energy Forum.

She is a former Non-executive Director of Woodside Energy, OZ Minerals, Aker Solutions (Norway), Akastor (Norway), and the Future Battery Industries CRC.
